Modern national political practice has a tendency to classify everything as black or white, and the perception of Alaska as the land of Republican moose-hunters is no exception. However, in an effort to find local opinions on the Republican nominee for vice-president of the United States, I found this blog post about a rally opposing Sarah Palin. It claims that the rally was the biggest political gathering in Alaska history, but it doesn’t give any count of people or say how the writer knows it was the biggest. It’s an interesting blog in any case.
I’ll try to find an opposing viewpoint for contrast.
